Thinking about calling OB

So a few days after having DD I realized it really was burning when I peed and it wasnt just from the urine touching my stiches so I went to the OB and got checked for a UTI it came back +. So they put me on a 7 day antibiotic Thursday. Im still in pain where I pee from. Not burning as much while im actually going so the meds are helping some but it still is hurting even when im just up walking around it is so sore in just that area. And now I have horriable gas pains. They were awful last night, and im starting to get headachs (which could be from exhaustion) should I call and let the OB know the meds arent working or is it normal for it to hurt where you pee from 9 days PP???( If you have ever had a cathater and then had the pain afterwards where it was thats what im feeling.)

    Can't hurt to call and ask :) I can't remember how long it hurt from the catheter but it wasn't too long.. it may have been sensitive for a couple weeks, but not painful.

    If they tell you not to worry about it you can buy over the counter pain meds for UTI's.  The one I use is called Uristat.  It seriously saved my sanity when I was getting them regularly.  A warning though, it makes your pee a seriously f'd up red color.

    Do you know if thats safe to take with BFing? lol thanks for the warning I would have prolly freaked out if i started peeing red!
