Babies: 9 - 12 Months

How quickly do they go from trying to scoot to crawling?

I'm trying to figure out if I have a week, 2 weeks, or a month or more to go before this happens...and I have to babyproof!

  • DD did the army crawl thing for a few weeks.  Then progressed to full on crawling, but prefers to stand and cruise around furniture (or people).

She's been slowly scooting/army crawling backwards for a month.  She still isn't crawling.  She is, however, pulling up and cruising furniture, so i still think she may skip crawling altogether.  We shall see!

    Cute!

I'm exicted for DS to have these 'firsts' but am in no rush for him/me! I'm enjoying that he can just roll right now...and only in one direction which is pretty funny. He starts at one end of the room, gets to the other and we flip him and he rolls back the other way.

He has started to try and scoot/army man crawl but hasn't figured out how to get all his limbs to work at the same time. I'm thinking it won't be long though...
