teething or bananas=diaper rash?

which do you think? we just started the bananas and his poor tush is pretty red after #2....I am going back to apples and pears for a bit to see if it clears up.

fwiw, bananas make my mouth itch.....maybe they burn his bum! lol

Re: teething or bananas=diaper rash?

  • I would take a break from bananas, and then try them again.  If he gets it again, it's probably the bananas.  Rosie gets diaper rash from chocolate, so they can get it from unusual things.  (Just means more chocolate for me!)

  • it could be both. Bella gets wicked soft poopies and diaper rash when she is teething. However if you have a sensitivity to bananas maybe you should take a break from those too.

  • Do you (or Ryan) have issues with latex?  Other related latexy fruits are mangos and kiwi.  But there are others too, you may want to google it is he has problems with other foods or it is not the teething.

  • Hmm. I dunno. Eve has a diaper rash lately too.. I wonder if its from teething.. FWIW.. I don't think the rash on her face that Eve had the one time was from bananas, but bananas do make her poop grey-ish blue, which freaks me out.

I don't think so, and I can eat mango and kiwi. I also can eat bananas in cereal, just can't eat them plain......so odd, I know!

I stopped giving them too him, and am hoping for a cleared up rash soon!
