If you were me and had had a m/c the first time you were pregnant would you tell your parents over this vacation that you were pregnant again?

Or would you wait until you were further along (like after you see a heartbeat) even though that means you can't tell them in person?

For me - I had to tell my parents in person (both times). It's up to you, hun, do what feels right.

Having been through 2 m/c's myself, I NEEDED that support system the second time around. I am not indicating you will have a 2nd, but I think it's a really good idea to share with your parents. Other people, not so much. Plus it's an exciting time, even given your history. It's important to honor the baby you are carrying with all the excitement he/she deserves!!

I didn't tell my family until 12 weeks, but I wouldn't have been able to tell them in person until 16 weeks anyway. I would wait.

We told our parents right away, because in my mind I felt that if we had a m/c I would call them immediately.

I felt that if they were important enough to call if I went through that they were important enough to know I was pregnant in the first place.

We swore both sets of parents to complete secrecy, and we told them if they uttered a WORD to anyone we weren't coming for the holidays.

I'm not worried about them telling anyone--I don't know any of their friends in California.
