We had our shower yesterday and here are the remaining items on my list that I will be purchasing. Can you look at the list and tell me if anything on here is unnecessary? Thank you!

We don't use our diaper stacker. We just get them from the bag when we need them.

I have an extra boppy cover and have yet to use it... also definitely don't use a diaper stacker. You don't need a tummy time mat... we use blankets. I am assuming you received many of those

Extra Cover for Boppy I have boppies (one is my SIL) and 6 covers because they tend to spit up. I learned it's good to have 3 of things that get washed. One on, one in the wash and an extra.

Rectal Thermometer (I do have an ear one already) We don't use rectal, especially if your not trained on how to use it it can be dangerous. I typically use axillary like they do in the hospital
Moby Wrap A carrier is good because it will make life at home easier. My LO loves his NoJo carrier

It's going to be a while before LO plays in the tub. We just use a regular thermometer and put it under DD's arm pit. No need for a "tummy time mat." Just use a blanket on the floor. And a diaper stacker is one of those things that you really don't need at all. We just have ours in a basket under the changing table.

As for the bottles, I would get a couple of a few kinds as your LO will let you know which one's they like best. DD is all about Dr. Brown's.

We ended up not using the playtex drop-in bottles, LO seems really happy with the Medela bottles that came with the pump.

Bath toys may not be necessary for a while. Sponge baths while the belly button heals aren't "fun". And now that we're taking real baths, he's more flaked out than anything else.

We have ear and forehead thermometers.

If you have a cradle or crib, you won't really need a basket IMHO.

We keep the diapers in a big bin that came with the changing table.
