What kind of paci does your baby use?

She has this Nuk one that she loves, but it was starting to make squeaky noises when she sucked it so we figured we should throw it out. She had a bunch of different kinds of pacis, unopened, so I sterilized all of them. I gave her a Soothie for the hell of it, figuring that it was so big and so different from the Nuk that she wouldn't take it, but she took right to it. Those things are funny looking - the one she was sucking was pink and from across the room it looked like her mouth was open in a really big "O." Cracked me up.

My LO has only taken a soothie since he was 2 days old. He refused to take any other type of paci.

We use the Soothie and Nuks. She likes the Soothie better, but she takes the Nuk over it every once in a while. Soothies rock b/c they don't have to be stuck in a certain way. I can reach back and pop it in while I drive; can't do that w/ a Nuk.

Ohhh, good point. That will come in handy for her 6 am fuss - if I can get the paci in, she goes back to sleep!

We use soothies and MAMS paci's....he doesn't take it very well! sucks! I told DH next kid is gonna pop out and I'm shoving a binkie in its mouth. He only takes it if he's in the mood.

We use the Nuk pacifiers, she puts up with the Avent one and we still have a soothie from the hospital that I haven't tried yet.

Mommy, he used to take the soothies but for the last two weeks or so it me or crying once he starts. He doesn't necessarily need to be at the breast but he needs to hear me or be in my arms to be soothed. It's wonderful and annoying all at the same time. I did get the MAMs the DH has to give it with LO laying at his chest shirtless; he pretty much has to fake him into think he's nursing.

DS used to take any paci when he was little. It didn't matter, if it went in his mouth, he sucked on it. (It still doesn't matter what bottle we put use) I'm sure he would still take any kind, but I wanted to stick to one kind, so he's using Avent. It doesn't have a top or bottom and he seems to keep it in there well.
