Do you have two potties, one for upstairs and one for downstairs? Or if you only have one, do you have enough time to get upstairs when it's time to go?

Go with the two potties. Sometimes you're going to be running to that bathroom, and you want to have one close by.

Do you only keep them in bathrooms or somewhere else too?

We don't have a bathroom on the 1st floor, just the basement and 2nd... but it would be handy to have one on the 1st floor. Hmmm

We don't have a bathroom on the first floor either. We have a potty chair in the dining room (which doubles as a play room).
