snap n go- baby trend

Ok probably dumb, but I put together the snap n go today and there are no directions for attaching the car seat. Does it just 'snap' in? It's snowing and I didn't feel like getting the car seat out of my car to test it out. There is also a strap, I'm assuming this helps secure it? Help!

    We have the Chicco infant seat which doesn't snap in - needs to be strapped.

    You put the carseat on, it should click from the back end, but then in the front there are 2 red clips (one on each side) that you need to push over.  They will keep the carseat from flipping up.

    My seat didnt "snap in" so I had to use the strap.
