Mucus Question -TMI

Ok I had my membrane sweeped 2 days ago and yesterday was a wee little mucus with blood which looked like what my doc showed me on her finger as my mucus plug...but now today its tons of it some has blood other is almost clear but very thick. I wiped once and the paper got snagged on it I had to pull about 3 inchs of it out Ick! Is that normal...how much mucus plug is there?

    Lots. I lost mine with my first child but not with my second. Its kinda gross.

    I had my membranes stripped this past wednesday and I am still getting a lot of mucus.  Sometimes it's bloody (red and/or brown) and sometimes it's mostly clear.  My doc told me that I could expect the mucus and blood for a few days, so I assume what I'm seeing is normal.

    Thanks, I just always had this "plug" impression where it just all came out at once lol. I have 2 other babies but never lost it so i feel like a newbie in alot of labor type questions.

    sounds like mine. you know when you lose it because there's so much of it. sometimes you can lose it in bits.
