I saw a man (pedestrian) get hit by a car today...

It was so freaking scary. I saw the SUV hit something and bounce back and heard a thud and as the car backed up, I saw a man convulsing on the ground. I screamed to get help and for someone to call 911 immediatly. The guy was unconcious for a couple of minutes, but finally opened his eyes.

Thankfully there was a nurse there to help him.

The saddest part was, he was in Toy's R' Us looking for a toy truck for his grandson, and they didn't have the one he wanted and so he left empty haneded, and 2 seconds later was laying flat on the pavement.

He was trying to move his legs and arms as the EMT came, but they just took him away, so I don't know if he was truly alright.

I hope he is ok. It was so sad

Ugh! Sad stories are always so much worse when its the Holidays! I am sure it will be in the newspaper for you to find out if he is ok.

This is horrible and very hard for me to read. On September 29th of this year my Aunt was walking home and was hit by a car (the driver had a suspended license so in my mind it should have never happened) she was flown to Broward general in ft. lauderdale and was pronounced brain dead, 5 hrs later she passed. Im glad to hear that the gentleman is alive but Im still very sensitive about her passing, infact Im hysterically crying right now. I appreciate that you stuck to help the man and spoke to the police as a witness. It took a while for anyone to step up as a witness for my Aunts incident and we are still awaiting a police report.
