3rd Trimester

Woolgathered

I was wondering how you were doing. We talked the other day about Pre-e. I'm getting induced on Tues. I was wondering if your OB is still just waiting for you to go naturally. How is bed rest going for you?

Re: Woolgathered

  • Hi! Sorry I am really bad at finding these on time. I am doing really well and I'm off total bed rest. I still have to take it easy, but my BP has been really good. So good, in fact, that I am only seeing my OB once this week. I think I will most likely not have another induction, unless something happens between now and then. I'm not allowed to go out shopping or anything, but I am allowed to do some stuff around the house, like give my cat a bath... haha.

How are you feeling about being induced? I was excited but a little scared. I'll think positive thoughts for you and your LO. :)

  • So do you still have pre-e though? Were you spilling protein?

Yes I am excited to be induced. If it doesn't happen I will have a c section. So I'm hopping the induction works. I am 2.5 cm dilated, 60% effaced and the baby is low. So hopefully that will help me out.

I just can't wait to meet my little man. I'm not nervous just excited. I'm on bed rest. I can only get out of bed to shower and use the bathroom. I'm doing ok knowing that there is a happy end to this very soon! I wish I would have done more xmas shopping. Now my poor DH has to do that and I usually take care of it but he's been great!

  • No, I never had Pre-E, or any protein. I have a connective tissue disorder and it scares my doctor, so any little thing he is just extra cautious. So that is why I was sent home, basically, he is worried about how I would heal and didn't want to give me a c-section just because I failed to progress.

I'm not even dilated - I get jealous of people like you who are! I equate that with progress, so maybe you will be able to do it vaginally. Though not everyone has a rough time with a c-section. Some people can handle it better, if they go in and prepare themselves for it. Just stay positive, and if it happens, think about what came out of the whole thing!! Your LO!
