Babies on the Brain

I should probably make an intro instead of posting Ninjas

all over your board.

(Sorry about that, but mrsadamc 05 needs her daily dose of Ninja. And since she is all pregnant and stuff, I feel the need to oblige her.)

Anyway, my name is Allison, and I confess to being a long-time BOTB lurker. A few of the ladies who also post over on TTCAL have told me this is a great place to hang out and sing your praises all the time.

My DH and I started trying at the beginning of this year. We got our first BFP on 3/10. We saw the heartbeat several times and we went to our NT assuming everything would be fine. Sadly, they found very serious problems with our darling baby and we said good-bye that day.

We were told to wait three cycles; we did and became pregnant quickly but lost that pregnancy three days later.

We did not wait for AF and became pregnant for the third time before she showed. But our betas were never right, and though we did get to see the heartbeat twice, it was slow and eventually stopped beating at 8 weeks, 3 days. I had a d&c the next day. We later found out our Pumpkin had Trisomy 16.

So...there is my sad sack TTC story thus far. We are TTA until February, and are hoping a genetic counselor can shed some light on why this has all happened.

In the meantime, I plan to spend the remainder of this horrible year drunk of my a$$, and I would love to take part in this board, if you'll have me. TTCAL is my home base, and I also post on GP as well (another great group of funny ladies). I love to laugh and I hate stupidity, and I admit to a fair dose of bitter right now.

Bet you just can't wait to deal with me now, huh?
