So, I am not one to complain on the boards, but let me tell you about a co-irker of mine. She is in her 50's, sits right behind me and always listens to my conversations and is the MOST frugal person (lying, she's downright cheap) that I have ever met.
#1. Her "What are you doing eating cheetos?"
Me - "What do you mean, 'What am I doing eating Cheetos?"
Her "You're pregnant, didn't your doctor tell you you're not supposed to eat those?"
Me - "Um no, she said 'Don't do crack and wear a seatbelt.'"
#2. Her "Are you going to get your haircut?"
Me "I will get a trim, why?"
Her: You should cut your hair, babies like to grab onto hair."
Me: "Sister-in-law has short hair and her son still grabs on. With my long hair I will be able to pull it up in a ponytail, bun or braid"
Her " You won't have time to do that."
....in my head I think I can spare the entire 10 seconds it takes and I say....
Me "I think Andy (DH) will watch the baby and let me put my hair up, he'll be home for six weeks."
In my head .... babies grab onto shirts too, does that mean I shouldn't wear one of those?
#3 (I invited her to my Xmas party, this is a conversation w/ my friend)
In baby's room to put coat away.
Her "Look at this crib."
Friend "Yes, it's nice, isn't it?!"
Her "Does she think she's giving birth to royalty?"
Sidenote: I didn't even buy the crib myself.
Ok, that's enough for now. I am just sick of hearing her comments about EVERYTHING. I shouldn't eat pizza, I can't have my diet coke, why would I pay more than $1 for clothes when they can't wear them very long. AHHHHHHHHHHH. She drives me nuts!!!! 8 days of work before mat leave. Thank GOODNESS for holiday break.
