I live in Columbus, and am due with our first child on May 24th, 2010!  We are not finding out what we are having, and I am having a very difficult time finding gender nuetral bedding.  Babies R Us doesn't have anything, and Pottery Barn Kids had 2, but they are expensive, and not what I was looking for.  Anyone else have any luck?

Re: gender neutral baby things

  • We went with Winnie the Pooh for our neutral theme.  I've seen lots of greens and browns, though with animals, or primary colors with letters and numbers.  (Even at Babies R Us).

One of my friends isn't finding out, either, and they registered for items at Babies R Us in sage green and butter yellow.  I think most of their stuff was Carter's.

  • i got a simple bumper from pottery barn outlet...white trimmed in green...unless you really want the whole bedding set (not really needed) i would just get a bumper...what about white? than you could accessorize with gender appropiate colors after birth
  • We ended up getting Jungle Babies by Nojo at Buy Buy Baby up by Easton.  You can also see it online....  They had some other gender neutral things as well.
  • Try the Baby Depot inside Burlington Coat Factory. There is one located on 161 near Sawmill road right across the street from Baby's R Us. I have seen quite a good selection of gender nuetral bedding and clothes.

  • We decided to get NoJo Jungle Babies bedding- my husband and I wanted to start buying things before we find out and we decided that we wanted an animal theme.  We saw it in the store and decided to Google it to find the best prices and ended up getting it for about $50.00 cheaper.  A good  place to check would be Overstock.com- they had a lot of cute gender neutral bedding that was affordable. Good luck!
  • How do you feel about Dr. Seuss.  The one they now carry at Babies R Us, is adorable imo....
  • We found a lot of cool GN baby/kid stuff at IKEA  www.ikea.com

We did not make our room "themed", it was just clean cut with fun colors.  The walls, bedding & furtiture are white so it doesn't feeling overwhelming.  I LOVE it.
