How do you keep on your LO's boots/shoes?

EVERY time we get into the car, DS takes off his boots or shoes and then his socks. I give him things to play with in the car, but he will set them down first to take them off. He didn't do this until we forward faced him a month ago.

We live in MI and it is under 20 degrees here...what can I do to keep his boots/shoes/socks on!?!?!

    DD does this too! I just bought her some Robeez and they are the only things she cannot take off. Needless to say, she now wears them everywhere. If you pair them with some thick socks hopefully that will be warm enough.

    My DS does this too. It is such a PITA to put his socks and boots back on in the freezing cold. I have found that if I put his mittens on, he doesn't mess with his shoes. I have also put a blanket over his lap so he can't see them and try to take them off.

    This faze only lasted about a month at the most.  We also bought him boots like daddy's and he thinks they are pretty cool.  They tie.  We double knot them.

    I tried the mittens....he takes them off with his mouth! The blanket, I will try though!!!

    the only shoes that he can;t do this with is his sneakers that tie. if they slip on or velcro on then he can get them off.

    Robeez..yes! Absolutely the best for staying on and staying warm. I'm especially obsessed with the winter sports booties...so cute and they don't come off.
