Elders: Dilated, effaced and position

in 3rd Trimester

I just returned from a OBY appointment and was told that i was 2cm dilated, 50% effaced and my LO was at -2.

My question is does it look like i would be giving birth this week or is it possible that i am still on for a Xmas due date? Now i know we are all different but i was just wondering if anyone wanted to hazard a guess.

    I have been at 3 cm, 80% and -2 for a week now. We're all different. They told me not to walk or to have sex because it was going to happen last weekend, so I listened. 

     Sex it is!

    I was dilated at 2 cms for 3 wks with dd and was 3 days overdue...

    You could go tomorrow or at 42 weeks. There's really no way of telling.

    That's basically exactly where I am right now.  And I was there a week ago too.  I may have dropped a little bit, but 1 week and no change.  It's just impossible to know. My doc did have me make an appt for 12/29 - my due date is 12/24 - so I guess she thinks there is a chance I will go overdue.

    I would assume later rather than sooner, that way you are not disappointed.

    My OB actually sent me to L&D last week since I was 3cm, 60% effaced and baby was at 0 station. I'm still pregnant, they sent me home. I'll find out more tomorrow.

    I've been around 2-3 cm and 60% for three weeks now and LO is as low "as low as he can get" without being on his way out.  So who knows. My midwife said she could see me in L&D tonight or in four weeks.

    Last week I was 2cm and 80%, today I am 4cm, 90% and +1. I was lucky and had more progress in the past week, but I know these things can mean nothing.

    I guess in the end LO will appear when LO is ready....just before the 1st Jan for tax reasons right? Seriously if i hear that one more time i may slap someone!! Lol!!
