Have you had almond butter? what does it taste like?

im considering making it for christmas but i have never had it before. is it just made and put in jars or canned? the whole canning thing confuses me....

My brother lives for almond butter...I don't like it too much. You should pick some up from the supermarket before you take the time make it. It is kind of an aquired taste.

I think if you like almonds you'll live almond butter. It has the same consistency as peanut butter, but it tastes like almonds.

It's like a milder peanut butter. I prefer peanut butter, but you can eat almond butter the same way. DH likes almond butter better.

definitely runnier than regular peanut butter. someone gave me some when I was pregnant with my first baby and i HATED it! Now i can't get enough of it! It's very pricey in my opinion, so if you like it, and want to make it, go for it!

I loooooove almond butter but I think it tastes a LOT better sweetened with some honey. Otherwise, I think it's pretty bland.
