I've officially reached the point in pregnancy

where I no longer lie to people when they ask how I'm feeling. I have started telling them the truth whether they want to hear it or not instead of "excited," "pregnant" or "great."

Re: I've officially reached the point in pregnancy

  • I got to that point too a few weeks ago.  Now I say "fat", "uncomfortable" or "in a lot of pain". I don't care anymore about their feelings!

  • I'm not sure I've ever been to chipper about it.  I think my most optomistic response has been "hanging in there".  Luckily it is starting to get better.
  • I remember that point.  "Like ***", "in constant pain" and "like a beached whale" were common phrases uttered by myself.

  • Just start making stuff up..."Pretty good, well up until I did that double marathon over the weekend."
  • Oh geeze, I started that this weekend.

When I'm at work and someone asks how I feel I say... "I'm here"  or  "I'm still standing..."

No use in lying to people...

  • I'm in between that phase and the "all is good" phase. People ask and i say i'm ok, feel like a lard ass, thanks!

  • It gets old, doesn't it?  Next time I'm pregnant I am going to just start this at the beginning... because it's the best way to ensure that you don't get asked that question a million times a day.
  • Um, I already tell the truth. Although it's just people close to me that ask, since the general public can't tell I'm pregnant yet haha.

  • I would just say "I feel very pregnant" - they knew what that meant, "stop asking me" ha ha.
