Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Another PP recovery question--Hemrrhoids):

Ok I am over 2 wks pp with a 4th degree tear.  Today I find I have a Hemi.  Self diagnosed but pretty obvious.  Any suggestions for relief/cures?  I am thinking I should call my OB.  Just to be sure of how to relieve the hemorrhoid while not messing with my tear recovery?  Just when I was starting to feel better.

I just read the when will you work out post.  Hmm I can barely do every day chores yet?  It is getting really old and frustrating I feel like I "should" be able to more then I can.........but I cant.  Anyone feel the same?  Anyone not able to work out for a month (I am thinking that would be best case scenario for me).

Sorry this turned into a vent/pity party.  I guess I am more frustrated then I even realize.  I hate relying on everyone to help me.  DH has been great but he goes back to work this week):

Thanks

Sorry it turned so LONG!!!!!

  • My Dr. told me to use Tucks, and warm baths, etc.   But really it just went away on it's own after torturous pain and 6 weeks.

  • Ugh 6 weeks!!  Thank you though for your input.  That is the same regimen for my recovery already.  Good to know.
  • I'm still waiting for mine to disappear.  It was there during my pregnancy though so who knows how long it will take.

  • my midwife recommended the vitamin Rutin 500mg with bioflavonoids. She also recommended the usual Tucks and eating more ruits and vegetables.
  • I feel your pain, not on the hemi but on the 4th degree tear.  My mother had a 4th degree tear and it was my worst fear of delivery.  Well it must my run in the family because I got one too.  It sucked! I am now 15 pp and doing much better, my docter says the scar tissue is hard at first and then softens around 6 months.  Hang in there, and don't feel bad about having people help you.  I think as moms we try to do way too much on our own. Remember you JUST had a baby.  Give yourself plenty of time.
  • Yeah, call your OB - I got some kind of prescription cream from the hospital, maybe you can get that too :)
