Pepcid. can't live without it right now. Both MFM & OB ok'ed it and also gave me an Rx for Nexium if it gets worse. No worries, it is Cat B and over the counter (pepcid) before I took it, I was downing Tums all day and still waking up with acid pouring into my throat at night!
I took prevacid- which is not OTC... I used to sell it - so i know it inside and out and it's Cat B and also approved for babies down to 1y/o... and many docs rx it to infants -so i felt VERY safe taking it - works like a charm!
Pepcid Complete chewables got me through the last month or so of my pg. Be careful eating too many Rolaids/Tums. My OB said that pg women are at a high risk for kidney stones and the calcium in the antacids can make it worse. He said no more than 8/day. If it was that bad to do the Pepcid Complete twice a day and drink Mylanta right before bed. That combo worked wonders.
