Babies: 9 - 12 Months

I guess it's our turn for bad luck.

We have to replace the radiator in our car.  It's going to be a little less than $600.  The shiitty part about it is the car is a 1990 with over 200k miles on it.  But the money for the radiator is less than insurance on our saturn would be (we have it stored so we can sell it in a couple of months).  I thought about just dealing with having one vehicle (we have another buick) but then I wouldn't be able to take the girls to doctor's appointments if we need to go, etc.  Oh the frustrations.

  • I'm sorry mama! That really stinks. Hopefully no more issues after this!
  • bummer, i am sorry. Is there somewhere else you can take it to get it fixed, maybe price around.

My DH is a mechanic and his shop is really busy because they are doing the work for less than others. The owner knows that people are having a hard time and cut the cost of labor by 20%. Labor is the most expensive part of repairs. DH is still getting paid the same because they have plenty work.

Maybe someone in your area is doing something like this too?

I'm not sure, I will have to ask around and see what I can find out.  It would be so nice to get it discounted.  I hate car problems and it is the worst time of the year for them.
