Anyone supplementing with formula?

I have been giving LO breastmilk through a bottle since day one but I'm going back to work in about a month so I want to start her on formula because I can't keep up with her needs...some days she wants 6 oz some days she wants 8! We got some free samples of Enfamil Lipil in the mail and I am going to try with that...does anyone provide breastmilk during a feeding and then give a few ounces of formula following the breastmilk ( in a different bottle) to satisify their LO? Is it ok to do this?

I have to supp. with formula because I'm not producing enough milk for LO. I have given formula after breast feeding many times.

i've also given formula and breastmilk one after the other on many different occasions. my dr said it's just fine!

Yup. We were just told not to mix the two together because you can waste BM that way. Also, the enzymes in BM help break down the formula.

Yep! And ditto the others, do a bottle of BM first, then formula separate. I'd definitely try what you have at home, and if it works great - if not, you can switch.

Working on building up my supply of breastmilk. So until then I am supplementing with Enfamil Lipil. I can't wait until I don't have to. No issues with DD
