Dr. Brown's bottles

I picked up a pack just to see if they were worth all the hype.  Darn it all.  I like them.  A lot.  And they are damn expensive.

Anyone do the Dr. Brown glass bottles?  Do they have silicon sleeves that fit them?

  • We use them but not the glass?? And you know I discovered that they are expensive but it's not like you need a million of them. I think we use a total of 4?? I have about 45 as hand-me-downs from family but we only use like 4 of them and just wash and sterilize as we go and that's much easier!

I send 4 bottles per day to daycare, so I'll probably need at least 8-10

  • We don't like the glass ones.  They're too heavy.

Oh yes then you'll need a few more, you know have you seen the "kits" that they make? That's what we bought before we got the hand-me-downs. They have a couple different sizes and a couple different nipples. These helped us so we didn't have to buy the full 3 packs or whatever of each size AND then get the nipples, etc. and they were on sale at Burlington, I think we got a kit of 4 bottles for like $10.00?

  • We started out with regular and moved to the wide neck because LO could latch better... so we bought about 9 so $45 then we decided we needed the dish washer baskets, and the travel caps and... so we ended up with another $30 of stuff to go with the bottles... so yes it is an investment!

  • I have the glass ones and love them.  Tre has only been given a bottle once so of course things could change.  I have two but will buy 4 more before I go back to work.  My mom will be taking care of him and I can also leave her with bags of milk to pour into the bottles.
