I need to start training my DS to go back to sleep during naps so he can get longer than 20 minutes... (nights are not an issues)
i'd love to hear some success stories... b/c i'm still not convinced that maybe he is just more of a cat napper than a two hour napper.
Re: how many of you successfully sleep trained yr child
i'll google this "healthy sleep habits child"... but could u give me a little more info about what u did? please!
Hey there, I read the book... what section helped you the most. again he is a great sleeper at night... it's more naps that are an issue.
(thanks! I really appreciate your time and help.)
When DS was a newborn he took all his naps in the moby. Since he was snuggled on me, he took good long 2-3 hour naps. Around 3-4 months, I started putting in my bed, and taking a nap with him, or laying down until he feel alseep. Once I got worried that he could roll off, I started putting him in his crib. Each transition went smoothly, and he kept his naps around 2 hours each.
You are starting a lot later, and he's already in the habit of short naps, so I don't know if any of what I wrote will be of help, but that's what I did and I have a great napper.
I should note, as a newborn, if I put him in his pnp or crib, he would only cat nap. When I tried to go from the moby to the crib, he wouldn't go down. He definitely needed the transitions.
just ordered the book... THANKS!
