Helped a friend last night with sleep training...

her 16 month old.  She's slept with her since birth and she still gets up 2 or 3 times a night. (They never BF.)

It only took 25 min last night.  Pretty good.  DD took much longer the first night.  And she woke and fussed a couple times.

She's a single mom and BD visits a few nights a week.  He told her she was a horrible mom for not letting his DD just sleep with her.  She told her mom about it and she sided with BD!  I guess they think that she should just sleep with her indefinitiley.  

Friend is at her wits end.  They don't sleep.  She never has any "me" time because her DD stays up until 11 and won't sleep unless friend is laying with her. I feel so bad for her and told her that a baby sleeping in her own bed does not make her a bad mother.

Some people are just jerks. Angry
