which, DH and I both do! And you're in the Frisco area -
Frisco town square has a beautiful Christmas light show each year. If you tune your radio to 99.9 FM when you're in/near the square, the awesome Christmas lights blink to the music. It's GORGEOUS and "holiday-ee fun." And if you're hormonal like me, makes you cry.
Weather permitting, it's every night from 6 to 10. We've already driven through twice this year and will be going back.
Merry Christmas!
Re: Frisco - If you love Christmas music and lights -
yay!
i think we'll go down there sometime. aidan would LOVE that.
watters creek (in allen) has nights where it "snows" if you like that!!
If you live on the West side of the Metroplex, head to Arlington to see the houses in Interlochen. We did this every year when I was little.
This is from the website.
Interlochen - The holiday lights in the Arlington neighborhood of Interlochen are known throughout the Metroplex as a stunning display. The light competition usually begins in mid-December. The route to view the lights traditionally begins at Randol Mill at Westwood, west of Cooper Street.
We are going Saturday evening. I think at 5:15 or 5:30, Santa parachutes in. I am excited! Wyatt won't think too much of it other than ooo pretty lights I wanna eat, but it will be fun and he will enjoy himself.
We are also going to the Plano Parade that morning.
Interlochen is beautiful. My skate club used to go through there every year, and it was a blast.
My FIL actually has the same setup at their house - tune the radio to a certain station and the music matches the lights. He uses a lot of Trans Siberian Orchestra music, it's pretty neat. The programming is pretty complex for his gear, I can't imagine what it would be like for a major display.
