Do you think it is bad I'm just gaining in inches on the belly and not in pounds? Last week I gained almost a kilo, but this week I didn't gain anything, only an extra cm on the bump. Shouldn't I be gaining a pound a week or something? (at least that's what the internet tells me...)

Re: Not gaining in pounds but in inches?
I didn't start gaining any real weight until I was 20 weeks along. I think I had gained 5 pounds by week 20. So I wouldn't worry too much.
Now I can't seem to stop putting weight on. I will be 24 weeks tomorrow and it seems like I am putting on a pound a day. I am not and I don't weigh myself daily but it does seem like I am up a half a pound from my previous weight everytime I get on the scale, which puts me at a pound a week-ish.
I did the same thing. I actually lost weight through almost the first 1/2 of my pregnancy. A lot of that had to do with the fact that I had m/s and I was nauseous throughout pretty much the majoriy of my pregnancy.
If your Dr/OB isn't worried, then don't worry
Eleise: don't worry, I don't have any m/s, nor do I have food aversions. Food cravings YES! I went from 3 slices of bread and 2 crackers for breakfast/lunch to: 5 slices of bread, 4 crackers, 1 to 2 pieces of fruit and something sweet....and thats not even including dinner (I eat the same amount as DH) and after dinner, even when I'm about to explode I keep thinking "ah, some chocolate would be good now." I've eaten more Ritter Sport milkchocolate w/ whole hazelnut bars in the last 3 weeks than in the last 6 months before getting pregnant!!
I think baby just needs a lot of energy growing or something, b/c eventhough my belly is gaining cm (5cm = 2inches), I've only gained 3 kilo's (6.6pounds) in 17 weeks.....
