How is this pg comparing to the first tri with your DC#1?
For me, this pg could not be any more different! My m/s is hardly as bad (oh its bad but with DD I was miserable!) and I'm starving 24/7. With DD I hardly wanted to eat anything. Oh and I'm craving pickles, hotdogs and bananas- none of which I could stomach the sight of with DD... A lot of this is why I'm pretty sure I'm having a boy. LOL
Re: Where my 2nd time mammas at?
This pregnancy is completely different for me. With my first LO I had hyperemesis for the 38 wks I was pregnant and on a zofran pump. This time, I have no m/s ( or at least nothing I could ever complain about compared to last time). Also, this time I haven't had much of an appetite. Last time, I felt the need to eat all the time to help with the m/s. I also want salad all the time now and last time I could not even look at lettuce. I am wondering if it is gender related also. I think it is a girl this time. But I guess I will see in a few weeks!

OH yea same here!! My ms hits right about 2 pm every day! With Lil it was before I even got out of bed in the morning. And I am not doing well with sugar this time around either, though I am craving ice cream right now. I've been getting cravings like that and then when I get it, I can't eat it or it makes me sick. I wanted nothing but sweets with DD... So strange!
almost identical with the awful m/s and cravings/aversions!
my boobs are worse this time--they just KILL! ugh!
Exactly. I get a craving - then by the time I eat it- I am sick again. Oh and I can not drink plain milk. It tastes sour to me. That just started- I remember it starting earlier with DD. Remind me this is just for a few more months....right??? LOL

Well, I'm a 3rd time mamma, does that count??
I'm barely even pregnant, but just wanted to say that my second pg was way different than my first. Worse m/s for sure, and just different symptoms all together. I hope this pg doesn't keep going on the same path of being worse as far as m/s goes!!
Are your two LO's the same gender? Just curious.
I'm not nearliy as exhausted as I was last time. Although that may have something to do with the fact I have to chase a 16 month old around all day and have no time to be tired....
The biggest thing is that I cannot stand sweets, they make me feel so ill. Whereas with DS, I could eat Sonic cherry slushies with a side of brownies 3 times a day.
I am starving all the time, but it takes very little to fill me up, so I have to eat all the time. I'm sure DH is sick of hearing about how hungry I am!
Very different! 1st pg all I craved was plain meat and potatos. No salt or any seasoning. Just plain. I would only drink water with ice.
This time around I want chocolate. Chocolate everything! That and when I'm craving "real" food (who ever said chocolate wasn't real food?) I'm all about spice. Especially quacamole, jalapenos, and buffalo chicken salad! I still love water, but apple juice is so good right now. I'm also missing my cokes, but I think that is a me thing, lol.
With all this sugar and spice, I'm thinking girl :-) That and I just have a strong strong feeling it's a girl. Time will tell!
My morning sickness is worse this time--it comes on more strongly and is here more consistently (and earlier) than I remember from the first time. I had anti-cravings with DD (not aversions, just didn't want things I usually would jump at the chance to have), and this time I have cravings that stick around for a couple days until I take care of them. Wouldn't mind if the difference means that this one is a boy
Summer 2011
Its totally different.
With DD, I wasnt sick at all. I would eat and eat like a bottomless pit and had really really sore boobs.
This time, my m/s comes and goes (currently gone, but usually here). I don't eat as much but NEED to eat when I'm hungry and my boobs arent that sore. Time is also flying too.
Steal my kids picture or pretend they are yours, I will find where you live and ship all of their dirty diapers to your doorstep. Promise.
This is me exactly! I HATE sweets this time, and feel pretty good. One other main difference is I can actually eat real food, with DS most everything made me feel sick. I also don't feel any breast tenderness this time around.
I could have written this myself. My first pregnancy was easier...I did have bleeding and she did have a 50/50 chance of surviving. Then again I could eat what I wanted and I slept great (until 34 weeks) but it was an easy pregnancy.
I don't have the same level of m/s with this one, it's just an all around feeling of a$$iness that lasts most of the day.
My boobs arn't sore at all (I'm still bfing so that may have something to do with it), and last time I could barely walk without holding them in place.
I craved sweets last time, and this time I want nothing to do with them. Give me hot salty (preferably) friend foods and I'm happy!). I'm also STARVING with this one, and I don't remember ever being quite this hungry so often last time.
And last but not least, I kind of keep forgetting that I'm pregnant. DD just keeps me so busy that there will be a couple of times every day that all of a sudden it will just hit me that I'm pregnant. With DD I thought about it every. waking. minute. I also lift and carry her all the time, and with my first pregnancy, I wouldn't even lift a case of bottled water.
Hi Ladies!
Just found out that I am pg again! ?So I don't have much to go on but I do notice that my m/s started a little earlier this time - waiting to see how that plays out for me. ?No sore boobies yet (and I know they were sore by this time last pg). ?I am still craving salty foods (chocolate makes me so sick - sin!) ?I notice that I am doing things more than I did first time around - like hauling my DD around. ?DH says he is confident this is another girl - I am hoping boy!?
