Trying to Get Pregnant

Christmas Gift Poll

Alright ladies, I need some help.  We finished all our Christmas shopping this weekend, so I'm all done except for DH.  I just had a few ideas and found a sale at Macy's, so I was thinking about placing an order tonight and then I'd be all done.  My limit for DH this year is $50 (plus the stocking stuffers I already have) because he just got a ton of stuff recently and didn't want to wait for Christmas to use it.

So what do you think?  Any ideas?  What are you getting your DH?

[Poll]

He asked for nothing.  He never asks for anything.  He just buys whatever he wants and tells me after the fact.  It sucks.  He's so hard to buy for.

    Hi Riley!!

Hey Gym!!!!  Hope you are doing well.

Yeah, that's why I was thinking about kitchen stuff, because it's practical and we'll both use it.  I always get great gifts for everyone else, but I'm so lame with him.  The one gift I ordered and know he'll LOVE is freakin backordered!

Awesome! I'll check it out, thanks!

  • Will your DH be the main person using the panini press and waffle iron?

If not, I wouldn't suggest getting it because it is pretty much a gift for you. M is the same way about saying he doesn't want anything and then tells you later on. I keep an eye and ear out for what he says or looks at and I buy it for him. Also, I notice what is broken, torn or missing that you may need.

Like M: thicker socks for his boots, work gloves and long johns. Not exciting but it's for him none the less.

Maybe something to spice up the bedroom? Attire, lotions, sex coupons?

I'm not doing anything tonight.  Hopefully I can find something on TV.  DH is OOT for the day, driving to VA and hopefully home before midnight.  So I'm at home and bored and biitchy.

It's a "days counter" for leftovers.  You put it on the jar or tupperware or whatever and it counts how long things are in the fridge.  DH refuses to eat things that have been sitting "too long" so he'll love it.  It's from the Container Store.

Actually every weekend he asks if we can make waffles and where is his waffle iron.  We don't have one, never have.  But he says this every.damn.weekend.  So that's why I thought of it.

But I'm thinking from the number of lamesauce votes that I need to keep looking.

IMO, if he keeps metioning it and he wants waffles, it makes since to purchase it for him. Maybe throw in some yummy scone bag mixes. There is a recipe on the side to change them into waffles. I love love love them. Or maybe buy different flavored syrups to spice up the flavors too?

I like to buy that stuff at Cost Plus World Market.

I'll send the link to your email.  It's less then $10 and I think you get 2 or 3.  I just wish I knew how long it was backordered for.

Thanks.  I know it's still super early, but having to schedule that appt just made me sad.  I was really hoping for one more shot, and now I'm not so sure that's going to happen.

Oh well.  I need to just get over it and start focusing on moving forward.

  • ILs got us a waffle iron last year.  DH was excited because now I'm able to make him homemade waffles.  He gets excited over new kitchen appliances / utensils though...he always thinking of things I get to cook for him!
  • DH put two things on our wedding registry for himself; a coffee pot and a panini maker. He LOVES it.  Makes himself sandwiches every weekend.
