are you handing out celebration items?

Just wondering...are any of you handing out celebration items like those "it's a ..." gum cigars, M&M's personalized, or candy for when LO arrives?

I'm hoping to buy a package of miniature candy bars and design my own labels with LO's name on them. I plan to just use regular labels that you can print on your home computer (maybe colored??) and put a sideways design on them. Then print and wrap them around the bars. Much cheaper than ordering the custom ones.

MIL bought me 5 bags of light blue M&M's, I wrapped them in white tulle and tied them with 2 ribbons, "it's a boy" light blue ribbon with dark blue writing and a skinny dark blue ribbon. I wasn't planning on doing anything but I didn't want to hurt MIL's feelings and it's cost me less then $7 for the tulle and ribbon.

DH asked the other day what he should get. I just assume we wouldnt do anything, considering it so close to Christmas and we both are laid off. But I think he wants to do something. I dunno, Ill try to talk him outta it. The gift can be the baby!!
