Dramatic temp drop after O spike?

I am pretty sure that I O'd two days ago - everything makes sense (cm, cp, temps, opks) except for the fact that I O'd about ten days earlier than the previous three cycles (all my cycles after bc)...

But then I got a dramatic temp drop today (the day after the initial temp rise).

Has this happened to anyone else? I'm hoping that it doesn't mean I didn't O!  :(

Re: Dramatic temp drop after O spike?

  • Honestly, I"m not convinced you did ovulate 2 days ago.  OPKs point more towards possibly today.  Why the open circle yesterday?  That might be throwing you off.

  • I chart stalked and it looks like the last 2 cycles of yours did the exact same thing a day or two after O time (even if it was later in your cycle).  I wouldn't worry.  It seems like that's normal for you

  • I only started charting last month, so I am not much help... although do you think its possible that you O'd 2 days later? It could be... Either way, I hope you did O and I hope you did the deed on within those 2 days, just in case :-)

The open circle was because I temped an hour late (I went to bed really late and wanted to make sure I had three hours before temping).

As for the opks, I use them a few times a day every day and the darkest line I got was in the afternoon of the first day. I don't know if that makes any difference.

I guess I'll have to wait and see!

I'm not sure what you mean, but what is interesting is that I got a huge spike the day before I O'd last cycle and the cycle before that I also had a very high temp (I removed the temp because it was also after a night of a lot of drinking, and when I kept the temp in ff wouldn't give me CHs).

So maybe I always do spike, then drop, then O?

Thanks for your input in any case!
