Pregnant after a Loss

s/o bb's and bras

I need to get mysself some new bras. I'm very well endowed anyways (36C on my 125lb body) and now my bras are just practically nipple covers now bc my bb's have grown so much! Give me your recommendations on the best bras you've found for a reasonable price and any tips I can use while shopping.

  • My first suggestion is to make sure you get fitted correctly. I would look around in your area for a specialty lingerie shop that can help you figure out your size, even if you don't buy bras there. Nordstrom is good at this. Victoria's Secret is not. If you are only 125 lb, I am guessing you probably weren't a 36 band to start with--remember, the band should sit flush against your body and should support most of the weight.

  • I've never been fitted properly, I know that much. I despise bra shopping

  • I changed sizes several times during my pregnancy with DD, cup-wise and width-wise.  I bought bras from Target and bra extenders.  The Gilligan (Gillian?) and O'Malley bras are nice and cheap.

  • I also bought bras at Target, but my boobs are a 34C not preggers, and only a 36C now, so I'm not in the same boat in terms of the amount of support. But I agree with rhody - go get fitted properly!

  • I just went to Victoria's Secret and bought 2 Body by Victoria Demi.  They are 38D's sooooo comfortable and they are on sale: buy 1 get 1 50% off, so I spent $63.  They'll fit you, too which is really helpful and I didn't feel awkward at all.  Good luck (it's totally worth the expense)!
  • I went from a C to a DD VERY early in my pregnant (about 8 weeks).  Like pp, I went to Target.  My problem was that I'm still only a 34 band, but (at least at Target) they don't make DD's with a 34 band.  I guess they figure it you're that big in the cup size that you must be thicker around the middle too.  So I ended up having to get a 36DD and even those were hard to find.  I just bought three in soft cotton white and I wear one of them everyday.  Very boring, but very comfortable.  I think they are generic Target brand.  And they were cheap.  I didn't want to spend a lot of money since I am hoping that my bb's will return to normal at some point after she's born.
