Back to work after home for 6 months

Ugh - I'm back to work a month from today after being home for 6 months. The thought of going back leaving LO makes me cry every time. My husband is taking off 6 weeks and then LO will start daycare mid-Feb. I'm going to be a wreck that day.

How has everyone dealt with daycare? Does it get easier each day? I just can't imagine daycare giving him the same attention as me and I feel so bad.

    DD absolutely loves daycare b/c she's infatuated with the sitter's daughter (7 months older than DD).  It was hard at first, but work is really busy so it keeps my mind off of DD.  She always comes home smiling so I know she must be having fun there.  Good luck.  Cherish the time you do have left with her before returning to work... the month will go by so quickly.

    I go back Jan 4th, too.  I received an email today about scheduling our visit days to daycare - it's too soon!!!  I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by.

    I have no idea how I'm going to deal with it - probably a lot of crying in the bathroom the first day.

    It is SOO hard. But it does get better. You get used to the routine, and as long as your daycare is good, you'll be fine! OUr daycare sends pics, and I still call a few times a week to check in on DS. and he's been in daycare for almost two months!

    I hope you are able to enjoy this next month/ try not to focus on going back to work and enjoy the time you do have with your LO.
