Aygestin?

Hi Ladies!  I've only posted a few times, but have really appreciated all of your advice on this board and am hoping you can help me out...to make a long story short, I was suppose to start IVF #1 last month.  I went on BCP's for a month, then went for my suppression check and they found a large cyst, so they gave me an HCG trigger to help shrink it.  I was suppose to get AF two weeks later, but it's been 3 weeks and she's no where to be found!  So my RE wants to put me on Aygestin--has anyone ever taken this?  Did you have side effects from it?  I'm worried about adding another medicine to my body so any insight would be wonderful.  Thanks so much!

    Hi!

    I don't know about all the other meds (completely understand your hesitation to add another though) but I can tell you that I've taken Aygestin for years and never had any problem.  Or course, everyone is different...

    I used to take one pill for 10 days, but now they have me taking 2 pills a day for 5 days.  Usually get AF apx 5 days after last pill.  I don't think I have any side effects other than what you'd get during PMS/hormones, etc.  But, I don't know if that's the pill or just my reaction to shifting hormone levels.  GL to you!

    Thank you so much for your response, you've eased the anxiety a bit!  I'm glad to hear that the side effects aren't terrible...I guess I'll give it a whirl  :)  Good luck to you also!
