Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Hearing farting noises from the crib means...

that LO is waking up. I guess babies can't pass gas in their sleep? Mine always wakes up with some serious tooting action.

I'm really hoping he works this gas out of his system and falls back asleep. Fingers crossed!

  • Babies can't pass gas in their sleep?

Weird, or maybe my child is just abnormal. All that kid does is let out HUGE farts during sleep lol.

I think I heard this somewhere, but I don't know for sure that it's true. It does seem that Henry really has some stored up when he wakes up though!

  • Evan definitely farts in his sleep, but sometimes when I unswaddle him he sounds like a balloon I just let all the air out of...i'm sure it has to do with how his legs are positioned in the swaddle, etc.
  • That's funny because my daughter won't poop in her sleep either, she stores it all night and poops all day long...

mine too. I think she has pooped once.

  • my DD doesn't fart in her sleep either, farting is always an indication that she's waking up.
