Anyone else experience this? It usually goes on about 30 or so minutes after he finishes. It's my actual boobs and not my nipples (although they are a little sore as well).
Same thing here! It has seemed a bit better today...but maybe that is just wishful thinking! Cam has been wanting to nurse non-stop the past few days so I figured it was from my girls trying to catch up to his new intake demands. They especially ache on the sides closest to my arms...I am not sure why but this is where I feel the most pain afterwards.

i'm having a painful little lumpy thing going on that burns....im wondering if it's a clogged duct?
If it's a lump it probably is a clogged duct. Massage it while you're nursing or pumping.
Oh and don't worry about your DH helping you out. DH has actually helped hold my boob when Henry was learning to latch.
Also, I was in the hospital twice after I gave birth. I cried because I felt like DH was going to get tired of taking care of me. That definitely was not the case. Let your DH help you so you can get better!
Just an idea... Do you nipples turn white (or lighter) when this happens? If so, its blanching and caused by a bad latch that cuts off the circulation to the nipples. It causes shooting pains through the breast that start about 10-15 minutes after nursing and last 15-30 minutes. I get this when I am having a hard time nursing DD to sleep and her latch goes to crap.
Yes, though it seems to have stopped now, thank goodness. I was really nervous for a little while there that it was thrush. But my latch is crap and has always been, so I attribute all pain to that!

Re: Breast ache after BFing
I'm hoping it is from him actually emptying them and them trying to make more.
