Does your 7 monthish sit unassisted?

in Babies: 9 - 12 Months
Jae still can't sit on her own, she tumples over pretty quickly.  Anyone else?  She did start creeping around the floor this weekend though!  She is much more interested in her new found movement than sitting.

    I'd say around 6 months DS started sitting 'well' unassisted but would still from time to time fall back or topple forward or side to side (thus we kept a boppy around him) but now - probably for the past week or two he sits fine unassisted and doesn't fall or topple over anymore.

    Don't worry, all babies are different.  My DD is almost 9 months and still will topple over now and then.  Still no crawling, either.  Just the army crawl.  No standing.

    a friend of mine's son didn't start sitting up well til 8 months, and he's fine :) no worries
    Mom to 2 beautiful girls, 3 yrs and 22 months old. My 2nd was born at 32 weeks due to Rhogam failure/severe complications from Rh disease and is our miracle. She has bilateral auditory neuropathy and a cochlear implant, activated 4/5/2012 at 19 months. Lilypie First Birthday tickers

    Not until 7.5 months.  DD didn't sit unassisted until she could pull herself to a sitting position.

    we were one week shy of  8 months before DS wasn't toppling over anymore.

    DD has just started sitting unassisted without falling. But I stay near her when she is sitting alone- we have hardwood floors and a bonk on the head really hurts- if we had carpet I'd leave her alone more :)

    Mine sits and stands, and is starting to scoot with her toes, but doesn't roll in either direction. Weird.
