Did you put a protector under your car seat/leather?

Just wondering if anyone had the rubber part melt on their leather. Doesn't seem likely but I am worried that it will melt and defeat the purpose of protecting the leather.

We use one- I have never heard of melting issues ... Ours works great!

My local police dept said not too because they haven't been tested in crash tests.

It never happened to me. DS was born in May and we had no issues

We didn't put a protector under the seat. The car seat has never damaged our leather seats.
