When I get sad or frustrated about IF, I like to turn on our wedding song really loud and remember that day. ?Our wedding song was "At Last" by Etta James. ?My DH is a bit older than me and he said he had given up on finding love and really wanted this song.
What was your song? ?
?Any particular reason you picked it??
Re: NIFR: What was your wedding song?

I chose it because I pretty much had that CD on loop in my car the summer I met MH and it will always remind me of that time. And I love the lyrics.

True Companion by Marc Cohn. LOVE IT. The first time I ever heard it, I knew it would be my wedding song one day. My husband is my true companion and I was so happy that he just loved the song too!!!
It still puts a tear in my eye.

Everytime I see that AmEx or whatever that commercial where they talk about using their points and sheused them on a dress...when I hear the song in the background... I get teary eyed. :-)
Celine Dion - Have you ever been in love. We were please with our selection!
Have you ever been in love
You could touch the moonlight
When your heart is shooting stars
You're holding heaven in your arms
Have you ever been in love?
Have you ever walked on air, ever
Felt like you were dreamin'
When you never thought it could
But it really feels that good
Have you ever been in love?
Have you ever been in love
You could touch the moonlight
When your heart is shooting stars
You're holding heaven in your arms
Have you ever been in love?
The time I spent waiting for something
That was heaven sent
When you find it don't let go
I know...
Have you ever said a prayer
And found that it was answered
All my hope has been restored
I ain't looking anymore
Have you ever been...
Some place that you ain't leavin'
Somewhere you gonna stay
When you finally found the meanin'
Have you ever felt this way?
The time I spent waiting for something
That was heaven sent
When you find it don't let go
I know...
Have you ever been in love
You could touch the moonlight
You can even reach the stars
Doesn't matter near or far
Have you ever been in love?
Have you ever been in love?
So in love
LOVE this song so much!
Ours was "My One and Only Love" which is a jazz standard and has been covered by lots of folks, including Sting. My husband is a former jazz musician, works in the music biz, and loves this song. When I heard it for the first time, I knew it had to be our wedding song!
I walked down the aisle to "At Last" because we were both a bit older when we got married (33 and 38).
"Yours" by Blues Traveler-
B/c of the lyrics & when we first started dating I surprised MH w/ tickets to see them.
