we recently (about a month ago, what?! we're lazy!) got hannie a bathseat for the tub. i've heard kids can drown in an inch of water so i fill the tub up enough to cover her feet. i also use a bath thermometer to keep the temp of the water in check.
she still chatters her little toofies. i think it's the ambient air in the bathroom. can i fill the tub up with more water to keep her warm? it's not like i leave her alone. i'm there every second.

Still using the baby bath tub, except now my son wants to sit more in it.
When we're away using someone else's bathroom, the water is at his belly button. Rule of thumb, water should NOT get in the ears when I lay him back on my arm to rinse his head.
I usually do about 3". ?Morgan loves to roll around and "swim" ?I just sit next to the tub and watch him play.
It seems to keep him warm enough.?
uh my husband fills it to his armpits lol. we aren't letting him out of our site for a second, soooo you can do what you want!
edit:he is in a bath seat-- not rolling around on his own in the tub
We fill it about up to her bellybutton, maybe a tiny bit higher. I'm worried about her being cold and she's never out of arm's reach.
Oh, and we don't have a bathseat but I think she's lose her schit if we tried one because she likes to move all over the tub, turn around, splash, etc.
