I lurk here a lot and don't post very often. So I get that the Tuesday joke is about people coming on and asking dumb questions. But really, doesn't that happen everyday? I feel like I see it everyday. So how did Tuesday become the day?
I haven't been around quite as much lately, but for the longest time every Tuesday was just filled with really dumb questions continuously throughout the day. There are stupid questions every day but for some reason Tuesdays were just ridiculous.
I'm not sure of the backstory about it either but I do notice that on Tuesdays we tend to get more newbies and basic questions.
"Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all." -- Dale Carnegie "Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time." --Thomas A. Edison
I might be wrong, but I think it's a throw back to the old days with some of the older regs who participated on another board. Apparently, on this other board, if someone asked a question that no one could really answer (like maybe asking when to test but offering no charts), the standard answer became "Tuesday."
I might be wrong on the source of this-- so someone correct me if wrong.

Nope, I think you're right. Kdodge or CathyMD or someone recapped this for us just a few weeks ago.

Kdodge made mention of the original story, but didn't say what it was. I definitely think some of the regs who have been around a long time could tell us.
