spanx? need opinions/advice

Hey! I'm short, chunky and looking v. pregnant this week. Yay. Bloat.

I have an important work party tomorrow night and will be expected to wear a dress. Can I get away with Spanx @ just under 7 weeks? I thought I might fake it, but DH just started staring at me tonight - I look WAY KU. Not ok for work.

Please advise. I think this is OK, but want to be sure. Thanks, ladies!

You can wear spanx if you want! I see no reason why not, as long as you aren't ridiculously uncomfortable.

I need to get some of these! We have DH's work christmas party on Friday night and although it's all just bloat, by the end of the day I look PG.

Crozette, isn't "ridiculouly uncomfortable" the point of Spanx ?

Thanks, ladies. Wish I had time to buy the maternity version... I can make it through one party (sigh).

The maternity spanx suck you in everywhere but the stomach where it just provides support so if you're looking to hide bloat regular spanx are your best bet. Good luck!
