How many tablefood feedings...

should a 7/8 month old get?

 We've been doing only a jar of veggies at night before bath and bedtime, sometimes with an occasional bowl of oatmeal at lunch. Now I'm wondering if I need to step it up and make sure that DD gets 3 meals of babyfood a day?

    My DS isn't quite 7 months yet but I asked our pedi at 6 months. He said to give him a serving of fruit and a serving of veggies everyday so he gets a fruite in the morning and oatmeal mixed with veggies in the evening. Once he starts meats, then that will make his 3rd meal of the day.

    at that age we started doing 3 meals a day.. i was offering puffs while i got her other stuff ready. then at around 8 1/2 months i started offering finger foods then a small amount of puree.. c is mostly eating finger foods now with maybe a total of 4 Tbsp of puree a day. she is 9 months 2 weeks..

    We were doing 3 meals a day by then. DD just started finger foods at 10 months- she had no interest before then. She does a jar or two at each meal, plus some sort of finger food.
