  I see bad things happening if I have to wait that long.

  I have to wait until at least 8 weeks if not longer.  But my doctor gave me the Depo shot before I was discharged so that I would be covered IF something happens before getting the Mirena.  It has the same hormone levels as the Mirena.

  8 weeks. Dh and I used condoms for 2 weeks, and I seriously don't see why we even tried to have sex.  It was pointless. lol

  I just asked about IUD's today at my 6 week, and I was told you have to wait at least 8 weeks because the uterus is still contracting, and it could cause permanent damage beingh put in before everything is in its place.
