XP:Geo Trax

We are thinking of getting our DS a set of Geo Trax. If you have it for your LO do they like it? Can you add on to a set? Thanks so much!

    my son (and the girls) LOVE his. We store it in the big rubbermade containers and pull it out every 3 or 4 days to play with it (our house is small...not enough room to keep it up all the time).

    Yes you keep adding to it, if you want.  And its easy enough for a 2 year old to run the remote..but interesting enough for a 5 year old to assemble the tracks...so it will last through several ages.

    Also, MOST of the pieces are on the larger side, so it wouldn't be a horrible toy to have out with a baby....I hate all the toys with a million small pieces!

    Yes, you can add on and build pretty large transportation systems.  We have the airport and asked SIL to add on to it this year.  (She's the one who gave the original set to DD)  There are a bunch of trains, trucks and airplanes that fit together.

    My 3.5 yo loves it and my 8 month old loves to watch the planes go around and around too.  i think he might actually use it more than DD.

    DS first got Geo Trax for his 2nd birthday and really liked it. He still likes it now and can build simple tracks himself. Yes you can add on to a set and we're going to get him one addition to it (maybe a bridge or something) for Christmas. We get him something for it every birthday and Christmas.
