Yep. Occasionally DS will want to lock eyes, but he usually only does that when he wants to play and will pull off to smile at me. He actually gets grumpy if I look at him too long. It must be distracting for him.
Usually if I look at her she'll unlatch and smile at me. It's cute, but I'd rather her just "tend to business" and we can smile at each other when she's done!

DS does this too. And lately we have to be in a quiet dark room or he is too distracted and pulls off every min of so. Drives me crazy becuase I like to BF while getting things done or talking, reading, watching TV etc. He will have none of this!

This is DD for the last month or so. I hope it's just a phase.
Mostly kiddo thinks my face is a toy - he especially loves to "hook" my mouth or nose - ouch! Guess it would help if I could remember to grab my nursing necklace ...
That is so cute that she pushes your face away. DS most never looks at me. He never has. He always looks away. I thought it was odd. I think he does it to focus.
Re: Nursing mommas...
If I don't look/talk to dd she falls asleep. Otherwise she keeps coming on/off and bites me.
It is fun to still cuddle with her though.
DS was this way for the longest time. I was always so jealous of those who could nest and nurse!
