Babies on the Brain

did anyone take movies with them to the hospital?

and if so what types of movies were you in the mood to watch? I'm thinking comedies that I've seen a bunch of times would be good...like Anchorman.

  • I didn't--there was a DVD player in my L&D room but not in the PP room.  When I was in L&D I wasn't much in the mood for TV watching lol

  • When I was my friends coach, I brought NCIS on dvd.  She thanked me after the fact. (It's her and I's favorite show)

  • I brought Knocked Up and Juno.

    oooh good idea nerds!

  • I was in no mood to watch movies.

  • We just watched movies on the TV.  We were watching 50 first dates when I delivered.  I think we also watched failure to launch while I was in labor.
  • I brought some but never watched them.  We kept the tv on for background noise in L&D for the first several hours, but even that got annoying when things really got moving and I was in too much pain to open my eyes.  Then after the babes were born they roomed in so we were way too busy to watch movies.  We just turned on the tv every now and then if we got bored.
  • Yes. We brought (and watched) Wedding Crashers, Old School and Dodgeball.
  • Don't bring anything you have to think about, or maybe that you have not seen before. I think favorite comedies would be a good idea. (And Juno and Knocked Up!)

  • ?  Even certain sounds will drive you over the edge when you are in labor, and when baby arrives, you are busy.

  • I didn't bring movies, but I did watch tv.  Comedies would be good.  Something where you don't have to watch the whole movie since the nurses kept coming in and distracting me.  I guess you could pause it, but that'd be a pita.
