Low progesterone?

If you have this problem, what made your doctor check it?
Can you explain your symptoms?

    Thanks kdodge. I'm still new at charting and my last cycle I had a long enough LP. But I have a continuous problem with spotting randomly during my cycle (though this past cycle I didn't have this problem). I've had tests done, bloodwork, cervix biopsy, etc and my OB/GYN can't figure out why I spot so randomly (though it is typically related to intercourse). The last time we had sex was early Saturday morning and I just did an internal check about 30 minutes ago and I had some blood (not heavy, but definitely there). I also had a little bit of blood after sex as well, but I don't know if this is how I usually am after I had the blood after sex or if this is something unrelated.
    I did a search about "spotting during luteal phase" and read somewhere about low progesterone...thus my question.

    Sorry, didn't mean to make this so long.

    My dr. suspects this because of the length of my period (22-23 days) and possible short luteal phase/not ovulating, so I had the blood test done...she's giving me the results tomorrow.
