alright, anyone know what a milk allergy does to a baby's butt?

I asked in a post on 12-24 and eco, but any thoughts are welcome

I don't know what the heck is wrong with the kiddo's butt- if its just a simple rash, a reaction to something or a cow milk allergy.

its red and looks painful, although, she "only" cried when she is being changed out of a diaper.

and yes- we see the Pediatrician on Monday so i will get her advice as well.

    My niece has allergies and sensitive skin.  When she breaks out she has prescription lotions as well as aquaphor which seems to help.  Good luck!

    My DD developed an alregy to cows milk and it started as a bad diaper rash and ended up looking like raw meat in her diaper.  The only thing that cleared it up was a little corn startch.  Diaper rash creams made it worse.

    When I was a baby and allergic to milk, I actually bled when pooping.  Doesn't sound like what you're experiencing, but I had to be switched to a different formula and was told I was lactose intolerant.  I have grown out of it over the years.
