Just wondering...

I was just wondering if any of you had a feeling you were having twins + before your first ultrasound... i have this gut feeling that I have more than 1 baby growing... i have an U/S on Dec 3rd, so we will see.... its just really weird that i have this feeling...

    Yes.  Before we went to the u/s when we found out there were 2, I was sitting around that morning thinking about how I'd tell our family if it was twins!

    Before that, I'd never had much of a "mother's intuition" during pregnancy.  I actually thought that both of our boys were going to be girls.  This time was completely different.  I really did have this weird feeling it would be twins... and I also just knew they'd be girls.

    We had *signs* pointing to twins...a few days before the 1st ultrasound, my SIL and I were cracking open eggs and 3 of them had double yolks, then my sister called later that day to say she had a dream that I was having twins, then my grandfather (who didn't know we were pregnant yet) started talking about his family history of twins.  I thought it was all kind of funny and coincidental until I actually saw the TWO sacs on the screen.  I almost fell out of the chair!

    ever since i had DS1 i thought I'd have twins the next time- but i also knew I'd be doing clomid/IUI - so my chances were a lot higher than the avg person - it wasn't like out of nowhere it actually happened ;)

    It wasn't necessarily intuition that had me prepared for it... I had blood work done at 14dpo and 16dpo. My beta's seemed extremely high (in my opinion - the very high end of 'normal'!) and my progesterone came back at 40.6, which is over double the '20' which is what my nurse said was considered an 'excellent pregnancy'. She also made a comment along the lines of, "I've never seen progesterone this high for someone that isn't on [fertility] medication." Hello red flags!

    I did...I had a m/c in april of 2008 and I just knew the next time I got pregnant it would be with twins...I even told my mom I had a feeling months before I actually got pregnant...good luck and congratulations on your pregnancy either way!

    I did since we conceived on Clomid.  I knew that the chance was slim, but just thought maybe we would.  I can't believe it now  though, when I had the feeling we were, it was still abstract, I never actually thought we'd have twins.

    It weird because DH and I have always thought we would have twins even before we started fertility treatments. Then my betas were so high we knew there was a real possibility.

    After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

    I had a dream with my DH and he had twins in it before we were even dating, just friends then.  Kind of eerie to think of now!
